Yo just thought I would email you about today's events. "Happy Earthquake Day!"
Woke up this morning to a rumble and vibrations, and no it was not the person next to me, it was an earthquake (6.6) . . At first I just went back to sleep then we felt another, which prompted me to wake, roughly ten minutes later the power went off, later discovering that all islands had no power and we were in a state of emergency. So went to work with my laptop hoping for some Internet in a hotel that had power, arrived at work with no luck at getting a wireless signal, and no electricity or hot water, and not to mention the rain and wind. So what do most people do in this position in a place such as this? DRINK, and that is exactly how the day continued. Power was out for 7:07am till 21:30ish . . I wish you could see the pictures I took, The lines at the ABC stores and Food stores were so long, I guess only like 10 people were allowed in the store at once or some weird thing. .
So to sum it up on the way home from work there were loads of sights to see but a group of people drinking in a drivway were shouting happy earthquake day. .
Happy Earthquake Day, whatever that means, ya muncha drunks!
